Newport Craft Brewing

Founded in 1999 by college friends, Newport Craft Brewing is the original Rhode Island Craft Brewery. They’ve created over 100 beers made with Rhode Island ingredients. In addition to craft brews, they also distill, age and bottle an assortment of gin, vodka, amaro, single-barrel rum, moonshine and whiskey. Visit their tasting room at the entrance of their brewing facility to taste the newest brews and spirits, or sit back in the pavilion with a local beer.

Greenvale Vineyards

Greenvale Farm was built by the present Generation’s Great, Great Great uncle, John Barstow of Boston throughout the early 1860’s. Barstow built Greenvale with some guidance from a book entitled Country Life by landscape theorist Richard Morris Copeland. Planned and designed by noted Boston architect John Hubbard Sturgis, Barstow’s intent was to establish a “rural agricultural retreat but one that would provide occupation as well as recreation,” as stipulated in Copeland’s book. Greenvale Farm was originally recognized for its prize winning livestock and in the 20th century we hope it will be recognized for its fine wines. Located on Wapping Road, Portsmouth. What Our Guests are Saying:

An Adorable and Great Stay in Newport!! The inn is situated in a very quaint, safe and quiet street, yet it’s just a few blocks away from all of the action. We didn’t bother rent a car since we were traveling in from NYC, and we only needed to use Uber once to go out further to a vineyard. Everything from the beach, Cliff Walk downtown, the Marina area (pictured), etc. were all within walking and Trolley distance. It was the perfect location for someone trying to come home to peace and quiet. There was plenty of parking space however, for anyone who needed it which sounded nice. The inn also had a lovely backyard with lots of seating and flowers, and a beautiful front porch with a swing.” Natalie K
